Somewhere starting around Christmas of this year i discovered Bakerella and the magic of Cake Pops and the like, Yum! Since then i have been caught up in the simplicity of them, the delicious flavor and the pure creativity they provide...what a wonderful creation!
As a part of my camping menu i decided to bring some Funfetti Cake balls (easier for travel than the pops). They turned out delicious but messy, which brings me to my ultimate question, how do you make them look as delicious as they taste? i always seem to have way more chocolate on each ball then needed, creating sloppy looking balls. Maybe it just takes practice but if there are any tips i would love to hear them.
for the recipe Check out Bakerella's blog http://www.bakerella.com/red-velvet-cake-balls/
you can use any flavor of cake mix, frosting combination, be creative! and candy melts can be found at Michael's, though Ghirardelli baking chocolate works as a substitute.
They were delish... wishing I could have one right now... or two or three..... ;)
